Bio

Over the past several years, Dwayne has created hundreds of small and medium sized affordable sculptures from tools and steel rescued from scrap yards, flea markets, auctions and friends and co-workers' garages and barns.

His unique custom welded sculptures grace many homes and gardens across Northwest Indiana, Illinois and points beyond.

Dwayne's passion for this art form was born from an interest in Blacksmithing. This led to taking a couple of welding classes and the rest sort of transpired from there.

"I love keeping the craft of the Blacksmith alive. There was always something about the smell of the burning coal, the tink, tink, tink of the hammer on the anvil and the ability to move and manipulate metal that just facinated me. I'm thrilled that I'm able to combine my blacksmithing and welding skills into an Old world meets New World art".

"It's just amazing how much we throw away that still has a useful life. Sometimes you have to look at things in a totally different perspective", Dwayne said." And that is how you turn "One man's trash into another man's treasure".
