Happy New Years!

Last year on New Year's Day, I was fortunate to attend the Winter Classic Hockey game between the Chicago Black Hawks and the Detroit Red Wings.

This year I sat in the warm confines of my living room and watched the Boston Bruins defeat the Philadelphia Flyers in overtime.

One of my favorite moments of the game was when they took time out to sing "Sweet Caroline" in the third period. I found this intriguing because it is normally sung during the "summer months" when baseball is played at Fenway Park and not hockey in January.

The point is that I usually weld my art in the summer months when the studio is warmer and my shop sits idle in the winter.....much like Fenway Park. I now find myself welding all year long thanks to all of you who purchase my art.

So like Fenway Park, and Wrigley Field last year, the lights go on in the "off" season and the owners of these establishments are thankful for the opportunity to showcase their wares and are thankful for the folks that support them just like me.

Thanks everyone and Happy New Year. I hope to see you out there in 2010!
